The new massive multiplayer online game "Star Trek Online" is heading into its Closed Beta session starting today. I'm part of it only because I bought a lifetime membership for "Champions Online."Don't worry - I won't defect. I love the superhero genre and it will take a LOT to tear me away from Champions.
At the same time, I am really interested in what Star Trek Online has to offer. I don't think there has been a really good Star Trek video game EVER! (Yes, even the arcade game back in the 80s was cheesy.) But, I really like what Cryptic did with "City of Heroes/Villains" and "Champions Online" so I hope they can finally make a game worthy of the Star Trek franchise.
